blues....

ok, I have the blues!!!!
I am one of those ninny moms...

my daughter has fallen into a magical hole...

just like Alice...
to a week long camp...

that all sixth graders go to, up in the mountains...
I know she will have the best time, and my son has three friends that are going as counslers, but I am a big ninny and would love to keep her with me forever!!!!

so I am trying to stay busy!!!
I am going to go stock up my booth, and maybe try to make some jewelry...you can still feel sorry for me...lol...

  1. Oh Stefanie, be strong girl, a week is not that long. I know you are missing your little "Alice".

  3. Hi Stafanie, I remember those days! I remember when we lived in Cali and my boys went to the week long camp in the mountains. It was so hard to see them go. I just tried to stay busy and even sent a card to each of them. It will be over before you know it! Traci

  4. I remember the first time my son went away to camp. I couldn't stand it at first and missed him so much. But, I stayed busy and kept telling myself that I had to let him go. He's 36 years old now and still my big baby, so it never changes.

    She is precious.

  11. Hi Stephanie... :-)

Oh my gosh... My daughter looked forward to sixth grade camp for YEARS... I took her and all her things to school and watched her leave on the bus.....as soon as it pulled away I started bawling and cried for HOURS.... Such a wimpy Mum....well....it seems I have a wimpy daughter tooooo..... she called in about four hours.... BAWLING for me to come and get her. Poor kid. She was soooo homesick. It was a very long drive and it was dark (and I had no idea where to go) so I agreed to go pick her up in the morning. She was standing in the office window with the SADDEST look on her little face when I got there. We still laugh about it.

Hopefully your daughter will have a great time and savor those memories for years and years to come.

She's a beauty, by the way!

    Huggies,
    Spencer

  12. G'morn Stephanie ~ Oh, how quickly they grow ... & soon you both will have beautiful adult lives to share with one another ... yet the initial letting go is the hardest. Stay busy, time passes too quickly ...

    Have a beautiful Thanksgiving ~
